Our agency and network of national experts are available to you!
"Together We're Better!"

The consideration of reaching out to an expert is as simple as calling our agency.

Are you reviewing a personal injury or death case to consider accepting it?  Are you working on a defense case and are considering an expert to refute evidence or confirm evidence?  Will the answer assist in pursuing a plea or settlement, or go to trial?

There are many questions to consider and we can help answer them through our own subject matter expertise, and that of the experts we associate with directly and through our network of expert associations. We work with incident scenes (motor vehicle, crime scenes, etc.) regularly and as former death investigators were solely responsible for our scene work and evidence detection, collection, handling, and analysis; as well as the review of all records to support the investigation.  Dean's extensive training with fingerprints helped confirm the identities of multiple decedent's at the coroner's office (see his peer-reviewed white paper in the Journal for Forensic Identification - Woodchipper Fatality Investigation and Identification).  In addition, our experience as a deputy coroners / medicolegal death investigators, and forensic autopsy assistants, gives us a unique perspective and insight into the autopsy protocol and value of the autopsy reports.  See Dean's peer-reviewed and award winning Certified Legal Investigator white paper 'Reviewing and Comprehending Autopsy Reports'.

We can look at personal injury causation - are they defense wounds, self-inflicted wounds, is the scene staged or was evidence handled properly?  Many questions arise in properly defending your client or in civil litigation and we can help.  We can assist with scenes, photography, evidence collection, fingerprints, alternate light sources, death and injuries with causation, law enforcement reports, and medical records reviews; and many other areas of forensics.

Areas of extensive training and experience, and expert referrals:
  • Death Scenes, Decedent Examination, Pattern Injury Analysis
  • Motor Vehicle Collision Scenes
  • Workplace Scenes
  • Causation of wounds, personal injuries and death
  • Evidence - including alternate light source, fingerprints and DNA collection
  • Medical Records, Law Enforcement Reports and Autopsy Reports
  • Bloodstain and Blood spatter
  • Fingerprints
  • Photography
  • Evidence Collection
  • Questioned Documents
  • Autopsies and Procedures
  • Interview and Interrogation Techniques
  • Communication with your expert
  • Assistance at depositions, hearings and trials

A forensic autopsy is a complex medical procedure conducted to determine the cause and manner of death and identify disease and injury. Although the observations of the forensic pathologist are objective, the interpretation of the autopsy findings is subjective.

Dr. Cina, a Board-certified Anatomic and Forensic Pathologist, has conducted thousands of autopsies and testified to these findings hundreds of times.  He has also served as an expert witness in dozens of medicolegal proceedings and has reviewed hundreds of autopsies performed by other pathologists.
