The latter part of this week I was in Rawlins WY (Carbon County) with colleague, friend and MLDI mentor Maury Miller.  We gave multiple presentations for two days on aircraft fatalities, infant deaths, shaken baby, motor vehicle collisions, and drug related deaths.  We started with 'Understanding Death Investigation' (a very condensed version of my two day seminar) and wrapped it up with my case investigation 'Woodchipper Fatality Investigation and Identification'.  Paul Zamora, Carbon County Coroner, was an excellent host and put on a great conference.  This was my second, Maury's first and we are invited back next year.  Paul is going to submit a request for us to be POST certified instructors and teach at the Coroner Basic and Law Enforcement Academy for WY POST.  Paul has taken death investigation in WY to a whole new level.  The compliment of the week was from a 23-year law enforcement and death investigation veteran: "I will take you guys any where to any investigation any time - thanks"!  For more death investigation practicum, go to www.MedicolegalDeathInvestigation.com and check out the online continuing education course, 'Medicolegal Death Investigation for Private Investigators' (or any investigator) that Karen and I developed for www.PIEducation.com.
